Welcome to Project Reality: Battlefield 2 (aka PR:BF2), a modification for the retail Battlefield 2 multi-player PC game. Project Reality's aim is to create a more realistic combat environment than standard Battlefield 2, and place a greater emphasis on teamwork and cooperation. Most of the aspects of Battlefield 2 that have the capacity to be modified have been tweaked, or completely overhauled, to reflect their real life counterparts, for increased realism. Ballistics have for example also been audited to reflect those of real weapons, including characteristics such as damage, deviation and bullet drop depending on a weapon systems calibre. Since EA and DICE no longer support Battlefield 2 and is no longer being played online, the Project Reality team made PR:BF2 a standalone game. No longer is a installation of Battlefield 2 required and we have implemented our own online account system for online play.
I hope that's a non-standard (marksman specific) rifle, the whole "everyone gets optics" trend is a 21st century thing. 20th century conflicts should still see mostly iron sighted rifles. Personally I think a FAL with anything but irons looks wrong.
I'd have to agree.
Yes the SUIT Scope is only for the British Marksman. 4x Scopes where very rear back in 1982 and only really issued to Marksman. Pretty much everyone else gets a iron sight rifle, or SMG :D
Yup, oldschool ftw. Since you're making so much DLC/Spin-off iliterations of PR, is there a possibility of having a Cold war mod, Flashpoint style :D Oldschool, good ol' m16a2 vs Ak47 :P
The way I see it, most of the assets are already done, the rest could be borrowed from USI and most of the work would be reskins and coding it all together. Either way, can't wait to play this awesomness, always loved the Fn Fal, gonna be epic with iron sights and massive distances.
That really very much depends if anyone is going to put the work and effort in to make it happen.
Personally I would like to see the Soviet war in Afghanistan as I don't think its really be done before (like PR:F) and has the cold war style you mentioned but don't have the time to make it happen myself.
