Audio is high-freq and ear-rapey. Couldn't go on since my earballs were bleeding.
Started fresh game. Looked promising only to find that a large chunk of actors (enemies/items etc) are missing from the game (screenshot included) so can't progress past that opening boss fight... which was a royal pain in the *** to kick the game off with, but my major issue is with the enemies that don't seem to be added.

While this mod has the ambition to combine the common elements of some '90s or Millenium RPG/action games from the US and Japan with modern sourceport-enhanced DOOM mapping abilities and gameplay style, I'm not really like the idea of combining the common progressive upgrade system on equipment and abilities with DOOM.
The mod is quite well made for some degree, though, and the intermission map with places to upgrade items and the player themselves, check out the monsters player has encountered, and especially let the player choose to play earlier level are very fresh ideas(for the bestiary and level-choosing part) even for DOOM mods. But the absurd map design, the gimmicky feeling of weapons' function and usage, and the general style of menu and interface layout and theme of the mod making the overall experience feel like playing Sonic '06 with DOOM's weapons and monsters. Yes, for some reason the creator making this mod's menu and interface layout with lots of Sonic '06-like material, and replaced DOOM's secret revealed sound effect with Killer7-type sound(what?).
Long story short, while this mod is the apple in some of the people's eye, but for me, it's quite hard to understand the idea behind this mod, and sometimes it's just too hard----not because of the difficulty of the mod itself, but the numerous errors and issues and within the mod making it too hard for me to enjoy it. I'm sorry.
If you don't have a weapon in the prologue just use the scroll to switch weapons (You probably have turned switch weapon on pick-up off, which probably causes this.). Also if you can't pick up the crossbow in the secret on 1-1, make sure you're using GZDoom 3.5.1.
First of all, i keep spawning with no weapon. Second of all, the first battle is against a cyberdemon, and plus, it's in a tight area with no significant area to dodge his rapid-fire-assault-rocket-laucher-thing-attack. I mean come on. I know the mod is named PROdoomer, but still...
I can't use the bow and arrow, even though I picked it up. I'm playing it on GZDoom.
Am i missing something because whenever i try to load on GZDoom, it just gives me the base game.
So it can't run on Z engine
