On October 22nd, 2008 a port of Portal was released onto the Xbox Live Arcade under the title: "Portal: Still Alive". Outside of being a simple port of the game, it included 14 new bonus maps which were based on Portal: The Flash Version Mappack made by Hen Mazolski. After 9 years, you can now play these levels on PC! The maps have been revamped a small ammount, with generally improved and shaprer lighting across the chambers. As well as this, our mod includes a mockup of the cut ending of the bonus chambers, was the same as the ending of The Flash Version Mappack, except with GLaDOS removed and other minor changes. It also includes the "GLaDOS Voice Map", a level made in 2009 by Hen Mazolski as a proof-of-concept for a GLaDOS voice actor he had acquired late in the development of The Flash Version Mappack, but did not put to use in the mappack.

This will be the first of several projects by our small 6 man team, headed by Tyler McVicker, of the YouTube channel ValveNewsNetwork. He created this project after finding the Still Alive VMFs in the Portal leaks.
The mod should be played in conjunction with watching his video, "History of Portal: Still Alive":
This little project was very fun, and we're glad to have completed it so quickly. More projects coming when they are done!
Aperture Desk Job and Steam Deck Release; 5 Portal Mods That Kept Portal Still Alive
This is the whole mod. It includes the 14 challenge chambers as well as the original TFV Mappack.
The source files of the port. Not really amazing, but it may be interesting to somebody.

Out of curiosity, do you mind if I try to port to Portal 2?
To whom it may concern:
The game install and Audio IS broken under linux due to path incompatibilities on NTFS to EXT4.
To fix it, do the following:
1: Install the mod to ~/.local/Share/Steam/steamapps/sourcemods/Portal-stillalive
and NOT [...]/sourcemods/Portal-StillAlive
Notice the capital letters in Portal-StillAlive
2: Reinstall the base version of Portal under Proton instead of native or runtime (I used Proton 6, but I would assume most versions work)
This should fix the issues
it doesnt work, it just opening my stupid website
I am having a issue with this port: When i try to play the port it opens as normal portal and the title screen don't appear as Portal: still alive. and i cant even play any chamber.
Oh, i miss that im a using Linux Mint 20.1
OH, I MANAGE TO MAKE IT WORK!!! THX LuigiTheHunter
When i launch it it is just the default game but the maps are name Still Alive - 1
My next portal game :)
I really think this pc port is very well done. I played it through, and honestly, I think the level transitions are better. I removed the skull cube model and challenges from my copy that I downloaded. I think it's better without the skull cube. It more closely matches the xbox 360 version. Because of the level transitions, it makes it inconvenient to play the challenges because when you complete a challenge, e.g step challenge, it loads directly into the next non-challenge map. Could you find a way to fix that or just remove the challenges entirely?
