Okay, so its been a long time since the project died, and im glad to announce that i'm going to have another go at this project. Any interested individuals, old team members should contact me if your interested in starting again!
The reason for the failure last time was a lack of a character artist, this meant that no matter how hard we worked, we'd never be able to release a beta, alpha or version 1 of the mod. So first things first, anyone who can model, texture and get characters into source, PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA PM!
I would also like to say that the name has been changed to Pirate Lore, i have none of the old assets, maps, or anything, after a format a few months back, so we're starting from nothing!

But seriously... you should change the engine :P Source engine are so old and ugly compared to UDK or the new Cryengine 3 that will release for the public in just a month!
I disagree. The Source engine has a good look, and besides, not EVERYONE'S system can handle those heavy engines. With using the Source engine, someone like me, a person with low graphic capability, can still enjoy the mod.
Will this be a story based singleplayer mod (Sandbox/linear),a multiplayer navy/sword fighting mod or both ?

looks like it will be wicked, you should put the classes and teams etc in the summary though - so we can see easily what its about. + i dnu what a truly european pirate is.
an what kind of a state is your team in? could be interesting to try making some pirate stuff :)
