Perfected Doom 3 was started as a simple tweak mod years ago. After realizing that I was still not happy with Doom 3 after making some alterations to weapons and enemy stats I continued to add more to the game. Now Perfected Doom 3 is more then just a tweak mod. It attempts to completely overhaul the entire game with new monsters, rebalanced weapons, rebalanced monster stats, better graphics, new gameplay features and much more. It has been met with great appreciation and acclaim by it's users. This mod will bring many improvements to standard Doom 3 and it's Resurrection of Evil expansion.
Now these guys coupled with these lights are freaking crazy to fight. They cast so many ominous shadows with their shoulder lights it gets very tense quickly. A red light on you means it's time to start dodging.
Are their missiles still instakill?
No. All that overkill stuff has been rebalanced. Most damages have been simply doubled and sometimes tripled while some of the close range melee attacks such as the hellknights bite attack is instant death. The game is hard but a lot more balanced. The Revenant missiles have double the damage they originally did.
That's good to hear. I prefer balance over unnecessary challenge, provided by overpowering the enemies.

Have u guys checked out my insidious doom mod, it will be using features like these from perfected, with Vgames approval, it already uses some of its high detailed textures and sond effects, also from sikkmod as well! :)
Usually i can hear these guys coming, but with the added red light - wouldn't it make it easier to kill these? especially in dark areas for example
I'm concerned about this as well.
No they still suck for me. They are a little bit more noticeable at times but they're homing missiles keep me on edge. I hate when I know they're about to round a corner and I have no more grenades to throw around the corner and I'm all out of the better weapons. They're beams of light instill fear during those moments.
I hope v7 makes the enemies have the same damage as in vanilla doom 3. Every monster in v6 one hit kills me with full armour and health on recruit setting. But this is look Awesome so far!
