Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.
The modules are fairly self-explanatory. Task Force Command grants various bonuses and the defense field module provides a small shield.
The Heavy Interceptor is a more advanced anti-fighter craft inspired by the Taiidan Interceptor designed to offset Task Force Venom's lack of anti-fighter corvettes.
Again, love the concept of this Task Force Module. Almost like a war room, love it. However, it's on the exterior of the ship which means if it takes fire and gets destroyed, you're gonna loose a load of the ships senior officers with it too.
Why not have the option of building a module like this but have it internally (so in other words, don't have it at all) but the ship still carries all the extra attributes that it would have with an external one. Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there ;)
Again, a very logical suggestion and something that makes sense but it goes against the gameplay aspect. Look at HW2, who would build a hyperspace module on the side of a ship and not smack in the center?
Fact is, if it isn't targetable it's kind of unfair compared with the other modules. If I were building an entirely new universe, I'd make the modules internal but given this is built on HW2, that option really isn't open.
