Operation Body Count was a pitiful and decrepit game, filled with sour and eye watering graphics. It was a good concept, with many features which were ahead of it's time such as computer controlled allies, multiplayer and cut scenes to name a few. The game itself never [imho] used the features to their fullest potential. It was created by the now defunct Capstone software. The game was built using a modified Wolfenstein3d engine, licensced from id software.

There lurks a group of developers, so hardcore, they will attempt to remake this game. Everything is being descarded and replaced! A new story, new characters, graphics, weapons, environments, and effects! This team is comprised of experienced programmers, level designers and graphic texture artists! Our goal is to turn Capstone's stinker into a breath taking, suspense filled slaughter fest featuring the most beautiful graphics possible, for such an old game engine! Behold......Operation Body Count Remix....REBORN!!!!!

Revised lineup....

News

Back to the basics. It is Ringman and I, with code assistance from the great Adam "Winwolf3d" Biser on this project now.

Everyone else seems to have lost interest. I have not, nor have the other two guys. We are in this for the long haul.

We are no longer persueing the OBC source code, or attempting hex modifications to the .exe. Instead, we are switching to BrotherTank's Wolf Advanced engine (which has almost all of the same features as OBC anyways).

That is that!!!

The Operation has begun...

I think Raistlin and Mr.Wolf are going to remain members too, sorry about that!

They have contributed some fine artwork, sorry to you guys for leaving you out! As for SonicYouth and JoeWolf, there has been no word from them in quite some time.

...until we start making REAL progress with texture creation, badguys and weapons.

Once we crack open WolfAdvanced, it wont take long to put this bitch together!

Ringman has been working hard, making some profound code changes with the help of a Hex editor. Notice the floors and ceiling?? A nice improvement, even if they are only flat colours. The question came and went, the question of whether we were going to abandon the original OBC engine. Well, with what Ring-boy has produced in the past few days, I'd say we'll stick with it for now. Myself and Ringman have also made attemps to contact the original developers, the former employees of Capstone Entertainment. Ringman's trying the original lead programmer, I tried some of the other guys who reside at AWE games. They seem swell (they are also responsible for Spongebob's computer game exploits!)

What is the purpose of this attempt at contact? Well, for one, the old OBC source code may be floating around somewhere, if it is, and one of these gentlemen have it, they may be willing to slip it to us, or at least give us some info as to where key functions reside within the EXE. If we know where this code rests, Ringman can continue to play with the Hex editor, and still make some great changes. *Whew bitches*

Ok, so the ball is rollin' dabba dabba dabba!!!
