Operation: Black Mesa is a total Source remake of Half Life: Opposing Force. Using the Source engine, the developers plan to recreate the Black Mesa research Facility as it was seen by Corporal Adrian Shephard of the H.E.C.U. Half-life: Opposing Force is still an amazing game, although it is not nearly as amazing as it was when it was released.

Best Bullsquid I've ever seen!

I like the model, but not the skin of the bullsquid. I prefer the old one.
I have to agree. It looks a little too bright, and the different color scales seem odd.
I dunno. You can change the other ones as much as you want, but this just doesn't FEEL like a bullsquid. Before, I exaggerated a bit, I still like it, but I prefer the old one by far. (The skin concept, I mean. The detail on the texture and bumpmap on this is awesome)
I think we should wait til we can see it with animations ingame and stuff ^o^ personally i think its really creepy x3 and diffrent from the original which i like :) and still very detailed
It would be cool if there are different coloured bullsquids :).
I feel ya, its what we grew up playing. But this is a new perspective of the game.

im sorry that is probably my fault I positioned the light source in the model viewer to show the details in the normal/spec map better but made it look a bit too shiny as a result, when in the map under normal lighting conditions it does not look so extreme.
Now that is a nice bullsquid.

About the shininess: I think that, because the bullsquid lives near water, it's one of the few things that actually makes sense to be shiny.
Maybe, but this doesn't even look naturally shiny, it looks like it's plastic-wrapped.

Looks great! I like the skin texture and the details near the creature's eyes.
I love bullsquids, but this one lacks any color. Black Mesa got it's skin just right (except for the "teeth", yours are far superior) - combining their colors with your teeth would bring the ultimate Bullsquid! I would love to see both OBM and BMS to use the same (combined) model.

I agree with Dexter the model is of ultra quality the texture however is not or lets just say it doesn't really fit. However maybe you can have multiple textured variants.. This creature here could lurk in sewers for example while the normal (original styled) bullsquid will be found everywhere else within Blackmesa.

I like the tongue like tentacles but the skin of the body is too much like a snake and doesn't match the bullsquid's aquatic tendancies. It is a good skin though.
I like this bullsquid even more than Black Mesa Source's version- particularly the eyes; they're the right shape and size!
I even like the shine (he's aquatic after all).
Texture I kinda liked the brighter bullsquids of the old Half-life more personally- especially considering that Black Mesa is a really dark, pale environment already, he might be too hard to locate.
I realize it's far too late to make fundamental model changes, but I always though the Bullsquid should have tentacles that fold together into a smooth cone shape, much like real squid: Grabflies.com
(The irony is, that's a picture of a lure, not a real squid, but you get the idea)

Multiple skins for bullsquids would be great: xen bullsquids, (red colours like in BMS), desert like yours ( really good looking), classic skin which is close to hl1 for sewers).
