Global mod for STALKER SHoC, intended to recreate a highly atmospheric Zone with highest possible quality, stability of the game, rich gameplay and loyalty to the canons of the Sci-Fi genre.
Pseudogiants were intimidating before, but "full-grown" ones?
I can't imagine how many rounds it would take to drop such a beast. A creature of this scale makes RPGs necessary (in my opinion, they're practically useless now).
Are you considering to changing its name to just "giant," since at this point it's reached full size? A "pseudo" is only a partiality of the reality. That thing IS the maximum of its potential.
Good design sets up "needs" for certain gear: this creature surely does that!
Is it safe for me to assume that the VALUE for their remains is also proportionately larger? I can't imagine how heavy those remains must be, even for the new full-sized boar hoofs!
Is the team considering retexturing both the fully-grown pseudogiants and the fully-grown boars?
My suggestion for the full-grown pseduogiant is to give it randomly spread out age spots, more age-based wrinkles, and perhaps make it look like it's sunburned (it would be hard for that thing to find other objects that are large enough to create enough shade to rest in). And since it's so old, perhaps also be covered in moist and wet-looking radiation burns? I'd also put a ton of scarring on its feet-hands (whatever they're called! lol ) and up the length of its legs as high as its knees (there would be fewer scars near the knees because how many mutants are tall enough to claw and bite that high? Not many!). These scars on its feet-hands and lower leg should indicate the type of creature that delivered the wounds (a claw swipe from a bloodsucker should look a lot different than a paw swipe from a psydog). Remember, our bodies display the history that we have lived. That should be also visible on the bodies of these new giants.
The full-grown boars could have their fur color altered to look more gray, with perhaps a silver ridge on its spine/back? I'd also include a good deal of scarring allover its body, to show that it's survived numerous dangerous encounters in The Zone. If it's possible to add in a variant of the full-grown boar, it would be sort of funny to see one that has a scar-of-a-specific-pattern near its spine: this scar-pattern would like a set of giant teeth bit into it, a bite that was delivered by a full-grown pseudogiant! Hey, if humans love bacon, so do full-grown pseudogiants. lol
I did a poor job of wording one portion of the above, so allow me to clarify...
-For the portion regarding the full-grown-boar-

I can't remember ever hearing what animals these supposedly mutated from, Does anyone know?
We're suspecting from humans.
SPOILER ALERT
They are products of the screw-up in the noosphere. Complete SoC and it tells you all about the origins of the Zone and it's weirdness.
That doesn't explain the genetic origins of the Pseudogiant.
Noosphere=Chaos. In this Stalker is similar to Warhammer ;-)
I don't know but those are some scary *** monsters.
Думаю это будет БОСС!
wow....just wow, i'll love to kill one of them.......
Wow... The original pseudogiants looked like their on the steroids but I don't know on what this thing is :D
