"Find a report about the transition" quest missing Thread - Old Good STALKER Evolution mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl

So I completed the quest with ammo boxes for mole, received the reward and now I can't start the followup quest, there is no dialog option to start it.

Tried to load the previous save to give him the last ammo box again the result was the same.

Is there some other event I have to trigger in order to get the dialogue option?

And if not, can I fix it somehow?
