Crash on Startup Thread - Old Good STALKER Evolution mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl

I have recently reinstalled the game because my config wasn't working at all, so I reinstalled it inside the program files in its own separate folder. I then went and patched the game to 2.04 and then changed a few settings in the configurator, but when I launch the game after applying, I get a bugtrap error, went to check in the log, said something about a version.

The mod does not launch for me. When I try to launch it, it gives me error saying, d3dx9_34.dll is missing from your computer. Try to reinstall to fix problem.

I have reinstalled many times, but nothing works.

Install DirectX 9.0c runtimes and this issue will be solved.

More precisely, you need to install the last update of DirectX 9 - "June 2010". It was never automatically installed via Windows Update.
