Neoforts is a capture the flag, fort building mod for the Half Life 2 Source engine. In Neoforts, players have 2 rounds, one for building, and one for fighting. In build round, players create bases to defend and attack the enemy. In fight round, players attack the enemy base, and attempt to capture enemy flag.
Neoforts is still in active development as of july 2012.

We are switching to the Valve Software Source SDK 2013 git repo. The newer SDK should provide us with linux client support, and more render engine features and fixes.

whenever i start Neoforts, it doesnt run correctly. it will put up the loading screen for a bit, but then black screen and i have to ctrl+alt+delete out. im using my steam half life 2, if you want to know.

sourceforts may be more popular than neoforts yes. neoforts is a better game than sourceforts. neoforts has better features, like rotating blocks, buy system, four teams, and faster and stable when tons of blocks are used.
Since june 2005, the goal of the mod was to be stable, bugfree, and fun mod. Neofort's goal was always to be stable, bugfree, and fun mod. I always assumed popularity would happen if those goals were accomplished. I was wrong, popularity doesn't just happen.
Popularity doesn't happen because you make a stable, bugfree, and fun mod. It requires so much more things. Popularity requires promotion, constant listening to players, and constantly keeping new and existing players informed of development.
Therefore, Neoforts has already accomplished it's goals of being a stable, bugfree, and fun mod. Now the goals must change. Neoforts must be a popular, fun, and growing mod. As mod creator and leader, I will use all of my skill, and energy to ensure these new goals are reached. Popularity is our first priority, all other things are secondary.
