The last game update from Creative Assembly has broken some mods for Napoleon Total War. In this page you can download old game files, follow the instructions to revert to the previous state of the files before the update and your mod should work. It works for The Great War mod, I will test with other mods and inform here, if it worked for you with another mnod please share the info in the comments to help other players! thank you.

I was unable to find this folder under the Shogun 2 game mods directory.
There is nothing to look for on the game mods directory.
The files you download here, you just place them on the MAIN Shogun2 folder.

I'm confused about the instructions for the 3 files to put on the desktop. Do you mean to actually cut (remove from the data file} and paste them on the desktop or somewhere else and what does this accomplish? Just curious.
Is this just to preserve them and keep them from being overwritten by the new files in the fix download? (U nay have just answered my own question but you can confirm)

P.S. I just notice those are the instruction for the May update. I used a different fix back then which was to use the beta system box and checked the box backdate to the previous version

you can delete the 3 files, but if for whatever reason it doesn't work for you then you would need to verify files on steam to get them back, instead of just getting them from your desktop [it's always recommended to make a backup before changing files, that's all]
In your case that you rolled back to previous build, I would recommend to get out of the beta and use the new build, then use my old files. This way you will get a boost in performance from the update, plus activate the modmanager. I can not guarantee it will work on new gen cpu though, mine is 11th gen and it works, can't test it on newer ones.

It was maddening to have that new patch break my game and I had to figure out which mod was used to get back to my saves. This 100% fixed my game since the mods were saved on the original mod manager and not the new crap they added in some random patch.

FYI currently I'm running both managers, the last [third]patch from CA that enabled the new launcher didn't delete my old files. So when I click play the new launcher appears, I select the mods and press play, THEN the legacy mod manager [the old one] kicks in, select the same mods and it's running without issues for me. Actually some people have the battle map broken but for me no problem.

Runtime error how to fix
I dont know how exactly to do this, I've downloaded the thing, moved those three files out of the folder onto desktop, but where exactly do I put the new file into? Starting it from steam if I just put it into "Total War SHOGUN2" file starts it the same way with the new UI and without the old mod manager and I dont know where I went wrong exactly, thank you if you know how to fix this
