The last game update from Creative Assembly has broken some mods for Napoleon Total War. In this page you can download old game files, follow the instructions to revert to the previous state of the files before the update and your mod should work. It works for The Great War mod, I will test with other mods and inform here, if it worked for you with another mnod please share the info in the comments to help other players! thank you.

CA UPDATE FOR SHOGUN 2 TOTAL WAR JUNE 2023
IF YOU HAVE NEVER USED MY WORKAROUND TO ENABLE MOD MANAGER then you can follow the steps and it will bring the mod manager back.
IF YOU HAD ALREADY USED MY OLD FILES PRIOR TO THIS NEW UPDATE;
The new update JUN23 modified a few files that will prevent the mod manager to launch. YOU NEED TO DELETE ON SHOGUN2 MAIN FOLDER; Shogun2.exe / Shogun2.retail.exe / Steam_api.dll [you will notice the files have new date June9]
THEN YOU NEED TO PASTE MY OLD FILES BACK; Shogun2.exe and Steam_api.dll
Click play on steam and the mod manager will launch again

Hello, is the Multiplayer campaign possible in Napoleon?
Hello Fedor, I can't confirm it as I don't play multiplayer, but my understanding is that multiplayer still works even though the chat was disabled by CA.You will have to use another way to communicate, like discord, whatsapp etc. If you play with mods your friend must have the same version of the mod to avoid issues/crashes.

I don't know I've never played that mod before. The main thing is that workaraound for NTW works on up to 11th gen cpu, if you have a newer cpu then you can try keeping the new driver D3dx9d_40.dll in the main folder, for some people it worked but I have no idea for your mod, I can't test it since I have an 11th gen cpu. sound mods do not work at all save for canon sounds,for some reason ca broke the sound structure completely with the fix all sounds revert to vanilla but without the fix if you use ca new files then and only then you hear new sounds for rifles(skirmishers)but that is it muskets remain the same this is uterly disapointing as napoleon musket sounds are awful and make battles incredibly boring

I tried NTW The Great War mod custom battle and campaign battle and I do get the mod sounds for all artillery etc. Also NTW3 but only naval battle and cannons sound right.Haven't tried other mods though.
I still have old sound PACK file for NTW and ETW, do you want to try it?, maybe I can send you on discord, if it helps fix your issue I can upload it here too. Another way would be to revert to the beta, copy the file, back to latest build and then swap the files again.
Let me know if you want my sound PACK file, I don't know when I will have time to try more mods to check the sounds...

when i meant sound mods i meant mods like this Moddb.com or this Twcenter.net after a lot of testing and stress i found a way to make them work with the replacement files so all is well i guess,i havent tested it yet but i think the great war mod and nft will likely work as all mods i used to play before the update are working normally now but i believe mods in the movie format doesnt seem to work all the time as in some do others dont.
Oh I see, I don't really understand the why of what type of files work and why not, I just test swapping things around until it works..or doesn't ;) I did try Wind From The East mod for ETW and the sounds were working, I actually think their overhaul mod includes the one you mentioned from twcenter.
