Anyways, moving onto what you want to see, here’s the first new gameplay feature that I have created. Well, I say new, it’s more of an enhancement. We have greatly improved the voice command feature to be more robust and more relevant to the fast action gameplay that exists.

Happy holidays! Here’s a late holiday gift from the MB2 team to you all. As ever before you get the goodies there’s a little bit of wrapping. I’d just like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you all. I’m Defiant, I’ve been working as a coder on MB2 for almost a year now, and you’ve already had the pleasure of some of my work (and some of my bugs…). I’m a programmer by trade, so this is my day job and my hobby and I’m from sunny old Britain. The things I’ve done so far that have made it into v0.1 and patches are the fix for the Wookiee bowcaster scope, some code changes to add the new Wookiee models to the UI and a few minor exploit fixes. I’m also the one that did the emergency code fix for the server crash bug that made it into the v0.1.1 patch.

As you can see from the videos now it’s much more easy to let your team mates know what the enemy are attacking with, it’s no longer necessary to duck and cover and hope that you don’t get killed whilst letting your allies know what’s coming around the next corner.

The other minor change is that now there are multiple different voice overs for most chat commands (Some still have only one sound file). That, along with the much deeper, rougher tone really does breath just a little bit more realism into the battle field.

Of course, none of this would of been possible without our amazing voice actor, Mcbober. If anyone does want to hire him for some voice acting work, i am his agent and all cheques should be made payable to me.
