I've always wondered why Bows use the same sort of Steel/Dwarven/Glass/Ebony (or whatever the game in question had) progression as the melee weapons. Morrowind got it right in using different materials for the bows themselves - with the exception of the steel and Daedric bows - and using the conventional materials for the projectiles, it made much more sense. Mind you, I can see an ebony bow existing since Daedric bows are a thing in-game, though I still wonder how they're supposed to work what with ebony being a volcanic glass and all.
