MMH5.5 is an unofficial expansion pack for HOMM5 Tribes of the East (standalone) or HOMM5 Complete. The pack will include many new adventure objects, new larger battlefields, new heroes, new classes, new specializations, new skills, new artifacts, new adventure spells, new HD textures and a greatly improved RMG with more than 60 'visualized' Templates. The AI is much more intelligent and calculated much faster. Balance is also greatly improved both for small competitive multiplayer maps as well as crazy XXXL maps with countless epic battles vs Neutrals and AI.

This mean you have installed the mod in the wrong directory.
Make sure that it is installed in the ToE directory.

I sympathize. The "FAQ" that everyone says to reference for this issue does NOT specify that a SECOND duplicate folder [default name: "Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East"] is installed INSIDE the first one (of that name). Even worse, Windows will NOT see it, meaning you will have to copy and paste in the second duplicate subfolder name to get it to install to the correct sub (sub) folder.
Drove me crazy for like 6 install/uninstall cycles before I noticed all this.
Hi, I do not know what am I doing wrong anymore so I decided to ask. I followed the installation and everything is working, seemingly at least. The mod worked great but now i can't load a bigger map without it crashing when it's about 1/4 loaded (for example, tiny map loaded without a problem). I have read through the troubleshooting page few minutes back but I didn't see this problem there (or I'm just blind which I apologise for if it's actually there...)
Do you have any idea what could cause this? I have Heroes 5 on steam if that is important.
I reinstalled the whole game and the problem is somewhere else (it crashes without the mod). Sorry for bothering you.
Try using the proper EXE file with "_64.exe" at the end. If you use the standard ToE exe you will face insufficient memory restrictions.

Since RC14 they are always enabled anywhere in the game and cannot be turned off.

The game crashes when the enemy AI takes it's turn while in the player's view. Every time this happened, the AI was on water (maybe it's relevant). I'll also mention that i'm playing with gameranger.
And as a side note, I had some artifacts and skills that were supposed to give me a lot of gold per turn but my income was limited to the town hall. When I joined through hamachi instead of gameranger my income caught up. The problem with hamachi though was some infernal delay
Any reasons and possible fixes for these problems?

I suppose you (and your multiplayer friend) use the proper exe (Utility_64.exe) to play LAN with AI, so I leave this aside.
Second - disable windows 10 D.E.P. and any antivirus and try again if the crash will appear or not. You can ask questions here no problem. However you can ask also in our discord channel where you will get answers faster.
Regarding the gold issue for Game Ranger vs Hamachi - was it the same game or different games? Is it possible that map scripts are not acitvated?
For some reason the game crashes every 5 minutes or so when trying to play Hotseat. I'm also playing on one of the already made h5.5 maps. Single Player runs fine. Not sure what's going on really.

Using this mod i cant put the resolution over 1152x864 without the menus being placed in the center of the screen, am i doing something wrong or is this intended?
After setting the new resolution sometimes the game requires a restart to get the new position settings.
I have tried reinstalling multiple versions and every time I don't have a text.pak file, and all the text is empty. Could you post just the text.pak file please? When I put in the normal heroes 5 one it works but the 5.5 texts are ofc missing. My game is on uplay.
Ask on our discord channel someone will help with that. It is possible your antivirus deletes the text.pak for some reason. I've never seen this issue before.

Hi, Malwarebytes tags MMH55_Utility_64.exe as malware.
Also when using the steam launcher of the game, the UI in game is bit off, it is not centered.
When launching with MMH55.exe the UI is centered, but the spell book is not scaled properly, it is somehow stretched. Regards.
Regarding the Malwarebytes thing, it is a hoax as the game exe is old and patched by the dev team to add functionality and fix in-game issues. Of course you can take this with a grain of salt and not use the mod.
Do not use the Steam Launcher it will break the mod. Use MMH55_64.exe or MMH55_Utility_64.exe depending on your needs.

Ok so we tried to play PvP with my friend via GameRanger. Everytime we try connect to our room in game we get an error where generated map cannot be loaded. We both use MMH55_64.exe and the same map after using mapmixer. We also deleted these files located in data folder. What are we doing wrong?
Does the player that tries to join see red text "RMG" in lobby on the map entry? If that is the case Mapmixer failed to enable scripts. Try running it as Windows 10 administrator as Windows may prevent it from editing files or enable them manually - Moddb.com
