Damn, just played it, those were good entries. But for me, the best of all, is "Idyllic", since I'm familiar with its atmosphere and idea first-hand. High-rise buildings far away, other colorful country houses nearby, small comfy interior, vegetables abd jam preserved in jars, greenhouse, a grandpa with a silly beanie paying a visit - just feels like home. The houndeyes as dogs with their own clothes were just great. Zaebis, so to speak. 11/10
I think the most amazing thing was the callback to The Event in Village, released in 2009, which shows how long I've been playing HL2 mods, but at the same time gave me total whiplash and unexpected happiness. The first map, 'Winter Intrusion' made me think about TEV, and suddenly I see a direct reference to it...such a coincidence.

How to fix that?
You're supposed to unpack all mapbase folders in the mod archive, and overwrite files if you already had older version of mapbase installed.

Winter Intrusion - very atmospheric. Nice.
A Dire Emergency in Space - obligatory short-funny one.
Trainwreck - unsatisfactory ending. Punchline here but you don't feel it.
The Bank Job - oh I've been waiting for someone to make a movie-like entry.
Kate - welp, obligatory sad one.
Idyllic - feels like home.
Red Letter Day 2 - you little... :D
Boatgator - ending anyone?
F-4 Phantom II : Sky Defender - nah, this is not HL2 material.
Conclusion: favourite one - "Idyllic"; aesthetics and I just like measured gameplay among 'bolter-porno'; most disappointing one - "Trainwreck"; with "Boatgator" been pretty close; Golden Raspberry - "Phantom".
I hope there would be non-combat competition in future.
what i need to do if mod don't showup in steam?
Hello Where do i need to put the eyecandy2 file is it on sourcemods is it on mapbase HL2 is it on mapbase HL2 episodic? Its my first time using the maplabs base if theres a tutorial on youtube could you please link it?
eyecandy2 and the 3 mapbase folders should be in steamapps/sourcemods.
you also need source sdk 2013sp installed click this if you dont have it: Rungameid
once installed set source sdk2013 to the upcoming branch by right clicking it on steam and selecting "upcoming" in the beta tab.
