Awesome work like always! In comparison to the old image, it's a lot of progress.

I'm not sure what you mean exactly. The ship's lines ran through hawses as seen in the screenshot.

Hampshirechronicle.co.uk like here they're all open, rather than just the foremost and the aftmost ones

Ah those! I don't have the books next to me right now, but if I recall correctly, these are flood ports that allow excess water to be drained from the well deck in case the regular drainage can't cope with it. They should prevent the well deck hull doors from ripping off. Why they've been opened in that picture, I can't tell. Possibly for painting judging by those painters hanging next to the enclosed promenade. But these weren't used for mooring lines.

Here's how they look on the model:

interesting, i just assumed those where simply opened when the ship was near land similiar on how Collapsibles C and D arent swung out in some Southampton photos

Description

It took a bit of creativity and lots of cursing, but the whole improved dock scene is finished now. All assets are in place, and only one thing is left to be done; the programming. Compared to the old scene, this one has a nearly fully modelled interior of the White Star terminal (more will be shown later),
a far more detailed dock which is now more moven into the existing scenery, and better sounds as well.
When this scene is handed over to the programmer, I'll focus back on implementing all the existing areas ingame.
