The L.U.R.K. team wants to provide the best possible experience from Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, we don't plan to skew the scope of this game, because I, like many others, fell in love with the game because of the story, the realistic gameplay, and the atmosphere. I plan to preserve and improve on that concept to the best of my abilities, and our team has vowed to do so as well. Which is why we took it upon ourselves to provide that experience. We want to fulfill a niche that's otherwise unfulfilled in the modding community. We want to bring as many features to Stalker without damaging or changing the original theme of the game. While improving upon that concept with features that were dropped off the development cycle from GSC, such as stealth AI, and a strong foundation for balance, as well as dynamic A-Life, and an unprecedented visual presentation that no other Stalker Overhaul can touch.
Restarted since I wasn't happy with my old texture. All done now.
The cup of epicness is about to overflow. You need a second one.
No more different colored magazine?
Seconded, no more brass-colored anodizing?
It is, you just can't tell if the light's hitting it straight on, heh.
Ahh, good job!

Looks like this in Fallout :v The engine's a bit ****, but eh.
AL PACINOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
niiiice!
Awesome as this new texture is, I don't think the old one was any where near poor enough to justify a new tex when for the same time investment an entirely new weapon texture could have been created, and you can never have too many guns.
Well it only took me an hour and a half, not exactly a massive time investment. The original one was alright but a bit old and lacklustre - I do try to maintain a certain quality bar here, heh.
Our primary goal is to bring a level of polish and detail - so in that way, yes, there can be too many guns.
Instead of focusing on the amount of weapons to choose from we are instead focusing on quality. This is what we collectively feel is missing most from STALKER - focused attention to detail.
Of course, we are certainly adding weapons, but not heaps upon heaps like other mods (not that it is a bad thing - it is just a different path to take with different expectations). Quantity and Quality are indirectly proportional unless time is infinite, I'm afraid :(
We hope once you get a chance to experience our work you'll agree with our design choices. We certainly feel the trade-off is more than worth it :)
Well done!

I have a question: Will the weapon models being created for this mod have realistic, functional, and properly aligned sights on them, as in Red Orchestra 2 for example, or dramatically over-sized and misaligned sight apertures/notches, like in COD?

functional and realistic ****:

We try to aim for accuracy but models especially sourced from outside the team may have inaccuracies on them.
