Lost industry: Origins is a Half Life 2 mod and it's a Prequel to Lost Industry 1 and 2. Lost Industry: Origins is being developed by Ikarus Software, the original creators of LI2. This mod is a First Person Shooter Action shooter game, created in the Source engine and takes place in the Half Life universe, this mod's story doesn't follow the Half Life 2 main story. The mod upon released will be Free to download and play.

Lost Industry 1


Regarding Lost Industry 1 I am working on a remastered version. You can download the original map from here.[Gamebanana]

Remastering this title means extending the gameplay, explaining the story more, make the mod visually appealing and fixing bugs.


The list of what I'm doing;

  1. Reworking the starting area.
  2. Giving the player gravity gun.
  3. Fixing brushes, that were previously created using CARVE, now being hand-made.
  4. Fixing the stairs in the beginning area
  5. Changing the Vent to look more realistic.
  6. Making a more realistic looking layout.
  7. Previously closed doors are now open and can be explored
  8. Placing additional supplies to reward exploring players
  9. Changing the wooden plank barricade on the rotten door to metal.
  10. Reworking the ENTIRE outside area.
  11. Creating a much more interesting generator based puzzle/obsticle for the player to overcome [Completely new areas]
  12. Reworking the camera room entirely, making it 100 times more epic.
  13. Completely re-do the bottomles pit at the end.
  14. Creating an elevator what links Lost Industry 1 and Lost Industry 2 together.

Lost Industry 2


I am going to fix most of the mistakes people suggested in the reviews of Lost Industry 2.


The list of what I'm doing;

General

  1. Replace all the voicelines for new ones, and putting it into the game.
  2. Make the game a bit more easier, and not so punishing. Hard difficulty shouldn't be impossible.
  3. Fixing Node Graph Out Of Date issue.
  4. Fixing level transitions.
  5. Making proper Closed captions for Sgt.White.

Level_A

  1. Giving more details to empty hallways
  2. Get rid of the first keypad, come up with another door.

Level_B

  1. Adding more suppllies to holdout.
  2. Get rid of the electrified water
  3. Make the lever under the ceiling turret more visible
  4. Fixing the elevator bug, making the push more powerful until the elevator closes.
  5. Adding more explosives to zombie holdout, perhaps a sawblade too.

Level_C

  1. Giving more health to the rebels
  2. Fixing the sprite issue with the mounted gun.
  3. Disable self-closing doors.

Level_D

  1. Fix helicopter getting stuck on rooftops
  2. Adding more paths to the helicopter, so it moves around more easily
  3. Making the helicopter bomb the player too.
  4. Fixing rebels not following the player upon dropping down.
