It's a regular state-of-internet in zone. Spam is a small but fast-spreading part of it. Deal with it.
Still. Shadow of Chernobyl didn't need that kind of spam-stuff to be awesome. IMO it wasn't necessary to add it.
I'm not going to complain, but, you know, even strange things can make a game feel more full of life.

I like it, adds to the feeling that people actually live in the zone rather than just running around and feeling completely alone outside of camps and ****. Besides, why wouldn't there be spam messages where internet is used?? You and I both know how often we gotta clear out the spam folder in our emails. Why not learn to try new things rather than complain, because in all honesty the dezowave guys didnt even have to make this wonderful game.

Couldn't of been said better myself. You guys do know what patience is right? I don't think it's very encouraging for them to keep on continuing this project when all they get is people complaining about their work and features they are missing in a mod that is provided to you free of cost. There is no payment for doing something like this.
As far as I know they've CHOSEN to release it filled with bugs so a sane person should know what to expect. Also, you're right no payment (except donations...) so why they should work on it? I mean, who's the fool that creates a mod without payment? Oh wait maybe for passion!? :O I bet that this is what motivated them to create Lost Alpha (at least before they knew that they could have forced people to pay for it of course).

I love AI and A-Life but the mod/game wasn't finished and to be fair its better than the expansions and is completely free...

Are you able to tweak the AI to be a little more aware and tough to deal with? I have it on expert and am breezing through. Half the NPCs dont react to gunfire in the next room.

It's not like the Zone has it's own internet, separate from the rest of the world. No reason you wouldn't be getting the same spam in your email that you would if you were anywhere else.
I think that it's a funny little reminder that some annoyances of modern human society follow you wherever you go. Even in a place as strange as the Zone.
Actually, if I remember rightly, the Zone has a seperate ad-hoc mesh-network of PDAs, a kind of wireless cloud shared between those PDAs. That's because of anomalous activity interfering with most transmissions from outside the Zone.
On the other hand, it may be the interference itself that reroutes it to your PDA.
