bloodsucker's "vampirism" was fixed. now it wont grab the actor from high distances, as it was visible in the old alpha format video...

Looks cool, but the distance at which the bloodsucker grabs you sill bothers me.

I'm pretty sure that it's supposed to look like the bloodsucker is holding you in his grasp, like his hands are on your shoulders/face, but in this pic it looks like his hands are just in front of your face. I think you should bring him closer

you know when youre changing bits in a well compressed .dll file, its not so easy to set up the distances :) we could change it, because the previous version was sometimes too far, but now its exactly the same as it was in old builds. :)

yes, but hacking the engine only allowed us to reenable this event. setting distances in a well compressed and protected dll is something like looking for a needle in a city...

it was a true fortune, that we could move it closer. if we move it even closer, the bloodsucker model will go clipping, and looks odd.

nope, you cant simply "fix" engine related things. some levels work in fdl, some not as i mentioned before... this screen was made when we tested the 2218build shaders with la.

Amazing!! :) static beats fdl anyway, im playing stalker on static as well as high settings - much more atmospheric than the pretty fdl

Description

some screens i found digging the screenshots folder in LA. they were made during summer, so hud is not the same on every screen, it changed a lot during the developent. currently (and i think it will be the final version) we have the health & stamina bars on the hud.
