S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Lost Alpha v1.4000 Developer's Cut download!
We are working on a patch, which will solve the issues created by the hotfix we posted earlier today. That installer accidentally deletes 2 important (and huge) data files from the game (gamedata.dbb and gamedata.dbc) which causes the trouble. We are working on a solution, but it takes time. Please be patient, and sorry for that :)
Here is the long awaited Lost Alpha v1.4000 Developer's Cut installer. At first, we decided to release it as a patch/update, for easier and faster downloading, but later we will create a full repack, patched up till DC.
After you downloaded the DC patch, which is quite big (around 2.3gb packed) you need to unpack the zip file (with winrar or any archiving tool) to a clean directory, or to your desktop. But before you would do anything with those files, don't forget, that you need to have Lost Alpha patched up to the 3rd public patch (1.3003) first! If you don't have that installed, DC won't work at all. So if you have LA installed and patched up till 1.3003, run the DC patch installer (browse to the game dir, if you don't have it installed in the default directory) and wait until it finishes. You can now run the game with the well known icon on your desktop. You will quickly notice the version number in bottom left corner, saying: "Lost Alpha ver. 1.4000 Developer's Cut". If you see that, then you are ready to play the game. Have fun, and if you have questions or something to report, send email to email@example.com or post here on the chat window, and be patient, someone will surely respond.
Here is the final changes log of v1.4000: click here to open it!
Beware, mods created for previous patches will not work with this DC update until mod makers make them compatible. We can not give support in this case.
Also, if you had custom gamedata folder in LA directory, this installer will remove it! Make backup of it first, if you don't want to loose it.
Edit the files at your own risk!
