For future users:

Essentially makes night vision usable. No more incredible levels of blur, and they actually amplify light.

Blindness barely improves anything, more helping to aid your peripheral vision with the standard flashlight until you get the advanced flashlight.

Vampire makes it where you actually can see under normal darkness without the flashlight at all, but in any underground segment where the game goes to "Advanced darkness" it will still need the flashlight.

Blue Moon actually tends to be too bright for the advanced flashlight, but not quite bright enough for advanced darkness segments. You can navigate but you can't really see clearly. Object outlines like desks and chairs but not items and details you will want to see. The advanced flashlight tends to be the way to go, just floodlight the place.

Northstar I don't know about, but with this mod it goes to black and white night vision instead of green, and from my experience in STALKER Complete this is the **** you want. FAR easier to pick out details with the new color. As for brightness I have yet to get it to find out, but I imagine it will also go up a level just like all the previous.
