Welcome to Lithium Heat, the ultimate ZDoom cyberpunk total conversion mod!
This mod assumes you're running on GZDoom 2.1.1 or ZDoom 2.8.1, but you might use
other engines such as GZDoom 4.0.0 or onwards (although not fully supported). The mod
also comes with FreeDoom Phase 2 by default, but you may also use any Doom game you
want (Doom 2 and Final Doom are supported, Ultimate Doom less so). You may NOT
however try to run this with Heretic, Hexen, Strife or any other IWAD that isn't Doom.
If you want to run Lithium Heat with Ultimate Doom, you must remove "1COMPEND.wad"
from the load order for better compatibility. This also applies to players who might run
the mod with Wadsmoosh or similar episodic wads. If you're loading a wad with an
incompatible color palette, try loading said file before all other files, or otherwise remove
"2GRAPHIC.wad" and "8PALETTE.wad".
I heavily encourage using SynthDoom MK4 (downloaded separately) with this mod.
The reason why it's not included by default is because the total mod size would be 1GB,
which would be too much for some people to download in one go.
First things first, after starting up the game for the first time, you need
to go to the options menu and setup your settings, and most importantly, your keyboard
bindings. By default, ZDoom has some pretty dumb bindings that you'll need to change.
At first glance, it may seem like you'll have to change a lot of bindings, but in reality the
mod only uses a few of the bindings in said control menu. The necessary controls are :
-Fire and Secondary Fire
-Weapon Reload
-DLRA Drop (Very important! You need this key to drop items and weapons!)
-Open/Use
-Move Forward, Backward, Strafe Left, Strafe Right
-Jump
-Crouch
-Run
-Next and Previous Weapon
-Toggle Automap
-Use PDA (VERY IMPORTANT! REMEMBER TO BIND THIS KEY SPECIFICALLY!)
-Remove Armor
-Remove Boots
-Armor Special
-Special Item Dropper
-Open CBI
-Zoom In and Out
Optional keybindings are Open Console, Next Song, Default Song and
Weapon Slot 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 0, Prone Slide, Hookshot and Lock On Target.
Remember to open the CBI and PDA and explore the features they have once you start a game. Have fun!

Just watched the trailer...ha..ha..ha..yeah...gets me in the mood...got my download and will be played right after I finished wolfendoom blade of agony. nat because I think this has to wait, its just that different in flavor I don't want to mix, like to experience both games pure....reminds me to farcry3 bloodragon wich I enjoyed...80s and shooter mix like gin and tonic...
hello im trying this mod and i get an error called Fatal: unknown event handler class Lith_URANUS
im using gzdoom 4.1.3, doom 2 v1.9, and im using all the files except freedoom.
Should i get a copy of gzdoom 2.1.1?

so i just found this thing called Lithium by Alison Gray Watson for Doom, and i was looking for it on here, and found your release. is this is your uber-custom hyper-specialized edition of Lithium, kinda?

So maybe this was explained somewhere, but how do I disable the one-liners and player dialogue?
Getting a odd error, downloaded gzdoom 2.1.1 and am using ZDL to set it up. Have the skins directory in external files. When I hit launch, I get an error that says
Execution could not continue.
Script error, "skins:3EFFECTS.wad:cvarinfo" line 1:
cvar 'blood_rand' already exists
Is there anything I can do?
fixed it, turns out is says external files, gzdoom loads stuff from program directory on default :/
It was basically loading the skins folder twice.
Is there a version with the maps only nothing else. Cause I would like to play this with other mods.
That's just a popular multi-megawad pack called 'Compendium'. It can be found on any number of servers. Just load 1COMPEND.wad as you would any other map pack. I recommend something like doomseeker, ZDL or Doom Explorer to set up your mods.
