The year is 1649, New Era. It is the future. You are a UAC Marine. You don't feel pity, or remorse, or fear, and you won't stop until every demon is DEAD.

Designed for ZDoom 2.8.1 and/or GZDoom 2.1.1! Using it in newer versions might work, but is not totally recommended. LZDoom and GZDoom 3.3.2 and earlier runs better.

Based on Marrub's Lithium mod and Yholl's DRL Arsenal mod, Lithium Heat is a submod of both of these mods, combining both experiences together into one cyberpunk roguelike RPG mod. Styled after 80's dystopian cyberpunk flicks of old, this mod puts player choice into center stage above all else. Now YOU can make your very own 80's sci-fi action hero. Your abilities, your guns, your way. A combination of 22 different mods, this is the biggest ZDoom conversion ever made. Can you take the HEAT?

-Play with 5 different classes and experiment with over a hundred guns to use. Battle against hundreds of different enemy types and variants, each one harder than the last. As you progress through the game, you gain XP and level up, and so do the enemies. Battle against Legendary bosses that'll make even the hardest players sweat a lot.

-Use the PDA to learn more about your current equipments and even play Pong. Use the CBI to toggle your cybernetic powers on or off. Modify and create new weapons by using mod packs. Call allies to help you on the battlefield. Jump off of walls or grab them to shoot enemies from above or below. Slide to avoid projectiles. Use the grappling hook to launch yourself in the environment, or use it to pull enemies and barrels toward you. The choices are limitless. You have complete control over your character.

-Experience 80's nostalgia with a James Cameron-esque VHS color palette and a music pack with 99 synthwave randomized tracks that plays something different each time you enter a map. Hear over 50 cheesy lines from Quake III Revolution's Doomguy to fit the 80's movie ambiance. Immerse yourself in the cyberpunk VHS atmosphere.

I see your mod has increased its scope. I'll try this today.

I'm absolutely astonished by your work. Heat plays absolutely great and I haven't run into a single issue so far.

There is, however, one thing that slightly bothers me. Not that it's something I won't get used to, but - every time I try to sprint doomguy repeatedly dashes forward for a while instead of regular sprinting. Is there a way to turn this off? I've never had any experience with previous iterations of Lithium or any of the other mods that were combined in order to create Heat, and I couldn't find a toggle for this feature in the provided settings.

Sorry for the somewhat late reply, but there's two ways to deal with the issue : either bind a key to toggle running (so you can switch between running or walking) or set "always run" to on, or otherwise disable dashing by opening the CBI and disabling the wetware that enables dashing.

This mod, its really great it can live up to its name like other mod like brutal, plutonia, and many more, but one issue this mod needs to run on certain zdoom, this mods needs to run on multi version of zdoom.

Hoooboy. Great job for a mod dude. Both Maruub and Yholl have a strong distaste for Moddb as I've heard them talk about a couple of times, for what I think are pretty dumb reasons, but I am definitely gonna try this out. Glad to see i'm far from the only person who thought Synthdoom went well with Lithium

Super awesome mod pack! really have been looking for something like this for a while!

The one issue is that I cant seem to get the palette wad working with cyberized. It works fine by itself but I can't the cool visor tint you have in your trailers and sone of the textures for items like health potions don't work.

It seems the rendering system in recent GZDoom versions have ****** up the palette tint. I'm using ZDoom 2.8.1 (the last version of ZDoom) for all the footage that I recorded. I'd highly suggest using that engine instead for Lithium Cyberized specifically. GZDoom/LZDoom/QZDoom works but you're going to have a few issues here and there. I tried my best at fixing most of the compatibility quirks with those engines (the first version of Lithium Cyberized didn't even have compatibility with anything other than ZDoom 2.8.1) but there's always some annoying stuff you can't actually fix.
