This mod is now stabler, more polished and balanced than it ever has been. In the next release we will focus on further rebalancing and simplifying the building trees and redoing Irish and Pictish rosters. Pretty much everything else in this mod has been overhauled since the days of Invasio Barbarorum II: Conquestu Britanniae.

In short: just download the mod, unzip (don't use 7-zip) and plop the 'InsularisDraco' folder into your Medieval2Data/mods folder. Just a general tip: don't change the mod folder's name :)
It should always be 'insularisdraco' (capitalization doesn't matter) or else you will start getting weird bugs and crashes that I take less than 0% responsibility for 😛
- For those that find the dirt overlay during muddy battles too much, there's an easy fix:
Go to InsularisDraco/data and find the two overlaytextures folders. There's one marked 'NODIRT'. Just delete the other one and remove the 'NODIRT' suffix. Restart the game and you'll see the difference :)

Hey man, Absinthia didn't do the strat-models for Wrath of the Norsemen (Danes) - i did those strat-models.
Absinthia did the battle-models and I turned them/converted them into strat-models.
Great job on the mod though! Gonna try it.

Yes, you did - they're the same models originally but making strat-models required a bit of work, including making two textures into one which was a bit tedious with Absinthia's models due to their many smaller details.

shhhh, it was supposed to be a quiet update :P
I added an easily replaceable overlaytextures folder which removes dirt in muddy battles + I fixed transparent unit card backgrounds for minimal UI, I also made Irish Wolfhounds recruitable and fixed some minor things as well. Just a tiny update, a bit of a shame I had to reupload the full 3+GBs for it. Just a tiny bit of polishing.
Hahahha. Jokes on you, yesterday evening before heading to bed, I downloaded this version and the overlaytextures too coz I wanted to remove the dirt effect on units. Today I wanted to install both but i checked this page and Ive seen this new file update. So now Im simply going to install the updated version and i'm going to kill two birds with one stone!
It was worth it to wait for this little update :D

Hey, you’d better come to the discord to discuss this. These specific errors you posted are harmless bugs (which we’ll fix nonetheless, of course!) which would never cause a ctd. Something must’ve gone wrong with the extraction. Try to use an alternative to 7zip, as we’ve had complaints about that one before. Discord invite link is in the mod description.

Hey, translations would be very cool but I'd encourage you to wait for at least 1 year so we can finish the mod (lol, a modder 'finishing a mod', how unrealistic) so you don't have to keep re-translating it.
About your crash: when did it happen? In the battle? Did you rename your modfolder? Don't do that, it causes crashes. In campaign? During the end turn phase?
Hello, where can i get the discord link? i have a problem that when i start the .bat the game goes "not responding"
In the main mod info on the Summary page. On the right.
downloaded the mod but every time I start it the screen is minimalized. I tried to rename the file to one of the kingdoms campaigns and it works, but whenever I fight a battle it shows an error and kicks me out of the game.
Go to the cfg file and change ‘windowed = true’ to ‘false’
And never rename this mod :)
I'm downloading this great mod again, this is actually one of my favorite time periods and the Viking age of course.
I want to ask. My generals' loyalty decreases after battles. What to do?
