Behold: Insularis Draco! An overhaul of the 2014 gem 'Invasio Barbarorum II: Conquestus Britanniae'. 30 playable factions, four (!) immensely detailed maps of North-Western Europe, covering the period of 355-700 A.D. when tribal migration, plague, climate change and all-out war spelled an end to Antiquity and a new world of 'barbarian' kingdoms rose from the ashes of Empire. The Dark Ages have descended upon the West. 'Times of great trouble and uncertainty offer substantial opportunity, but it is reserved only for those who dare to grasp it. Who will be Bretwalda and who will be Insularis Draco?' Greetings from the modding team (Urbgen, Benfras, Belovèse and PythagoreanBeans) working every day to improve I.D. for you! From where to start?

A GREAT unique rare mod for m2
Its the only mod for the period 452 ad onwards
The time for shinny knights hasnt come yet
In this you will fought in muddy, flooded and dark terains against foes you have hear in myths and legends ,from the far north you will encounter the raids from the undeveloped Picts, from the west the irish will raid ur western coastline and seek beacheads to claim as their own, various factions fight over hen ogledd in north britannia, last remnants of past roman authority,Rheged leads the fight.
Down south Gwynedd and Demet fight over modern Wales.
Eastern britannia have see disaster ,pillage and blood from across the sea germanic invaders are seeking plunder and a new home .
Southern and middle Britannia
Two last factions fight for supremacy and civil war, Dumnonia and Powys
Across the sea in the east, Rome last rump state seems like a beacon of hope into waves of foes ,that will try to expand over them.
Visigoths are looming in the south of modern France
A time of sufferings
A time blood and tears
A time ...

Pretty good and has huge potential

Terrible Balancing of units.Auto-Resolve in Campaign is unusable even when ı have around similiar amount of units with A.I it says 7:20.It's not like they have higher quality units either. It's a shame because I love the UI and the time period.
Beautiful Campaign Map so it's quite unfortunate gameplay is garbage. My disappointment is immense.

I am saying my people to "come fight with me!" and they coming and raiding with me and settle in again.Perfect.

Thrones of Britannia? Who need it,this mod is better in all ways.

The most polished mod for Medieval 2 I have seen to date. Replete with multiple well-designed campaigns, plenty of unique factions to choose from with unique scripts, and an excellent presentation in terms of UI and Music. At its best, Insularis Draco does not merely immerse you in its historical setting - it also educates and contextualizes the period for less-familiar players.

My only complaint for this mod is that the vanilla VA is distracting and pulls away from the otherwise impeccable job that the mod does at immersing you in Dark Ages Europe.

one more turn! it's addictive, every total war fan must play this
