Imperial Splendour attempts to create the best Empire: Total War experience possible without destroying the essence of the game, with an eye towards expanding and enriching the experience, while adding to the game's realism whenever possible. IS 2.2.1b focus on Britain and France, adding two periods so as to allow an evolution of the uniforms. IS made also a large rework on the visual and sound aspect so as to make ETW as enjoyable as last TW games. The CAI and BAI are totally reviewed, the Great Campaign is now really more challenging, and it will be difficult for you to impose to the World your imperial splendour.

Post news Report RSS Imperial Splendour - Rise of the Republic - Northern Wars Update Preview

As a late Christmas present we have a preview for the next version of the Rise of the Republic for you! As the title suggests we have and will focus our work on the northern factions: Russia, Sweden and Denmark.

Hello,
we've got some news for you! During the past few months, we were working on the next version of RotR 1.2 - the Northern Wars Update. It's not done yet but we hope that we get the release done in April / May next year.
As the name suggests RotR 1.2 will be centred around the northern factions - Sweden, Russia and Denmark.

But until then we've something to show you:

Here is the Swedish army:

Sweden Units

compared to RotR 1.1.9b there are 5 new Swedish units:

  1. Drottningens lif regemente (the 5th unit in the upper line)
  2. Tyska regemente (the last unit in the lower line)
  3. Lifregementets grenadjärkår (the 8th unit in the lower line)
  4. Lifgrenadjärregementet (the 7th unit in the lower line)
  5. Lifregementets lätta bataljon (the 9th unit in the lower line)

The latter three will be unlocked after researching a tech as they were only created after Gustav IV Adolf became king.

And here some in-game screenshots of the new units:

Great! I hope you fixed the bug where the Swedish infantry doesn't have any firing drills and just fire like vanilla NW infantry? This made Swdes at real disadvantage since they also have less soldiers per squad. I really had no trouble beating them as Russia...

We will remove firing drills completly and as you can see in the screenshots, all ranks are firing, so there is no need for firing drills.

I have the 10th anniversary version, do I need this to get the full mod?
Or to have it work well?

Sorry for my grammar, I'm French....
