Replay the Black Mesa in a whole new way. Play as Dr. Eli Vance, with a giant arsenal of weapons, versus huge varieties of enemies, with fantastic graphics.
Okay, so, secretly, I've done tons of stuff. A bit of stuff for Go-Mod, a bit for HypernovA, and I need a break...urgently. I haven't been updating because it's mainly stupid, simple stuff. But, slowly, surely, it's coming. I'm HOPING to start updating more often.
This is the beta gargantua from HL1...beta...
It was cut, but looked awesome, so I, naturally, brought it back. I need a name, though, so please try give me some on the comments.
Oh, and yeah, the legs aren't connected yet, and the head isn't on. BTW, this is approximately 1.5 times the size of a human excluding the "back fins" ( or "spine", whatever you call it).
That "Zargus" looks pretty good so far and reminds me of the panthereye.I think that it could use some sort of a bullet proof skin and be a stage of the growth of the actual garg, such as the headcrab and it's BIIIIIIIIIIIIG full growth.Another thing is i have an idea, how about an event where a gargantua breaks a spill with toxic waste which causes it to mutate and grow even bigger, causing Eli to try and find some sort of a big laser to blow it up,just an idea.....
"Zargus" sounds like a pretty good name. Also, it will have bulletproof skin, and will be around half the size of the garg. You'll have to attack its head or legs to win. Also, it can't be an evolution of the garg, because of how many differences it has. Also, I might add a toxic spill to one bigger garg, and it comes back at one point, and I'm not an expert on the subject, but I don't things mutate very quickly.
Well yeah but an idea of some creature to mutate sounds really good,i'm still thinking about the other idea where a headcrab somehow is able to attach to a Vortiguant causing a wild creature which is out of control and attacks anything,no matter if human or alien.....
IT could be something like this:
There is a big teleport pads in alpha stage where a headcrab and Gargantua get in at same time, occurring a fusion between them.
And about the Zombigaunt idea, some vortigaunts are friends of Gordon Freeman, so they are hostiles of others xen creatures.
Yeah, I think the last time I said no to the idea was before I decided that vorts would switch at one stage of the game. Headcrabs may go on vorts, but this, again, is too different to be simply a mutated garg.
Mother of the snarks?
Awww, it's a baby garg lol. Looks great though.
nah the baby gargs are from 2 coop and are just smaller versions of the full size garg and a different color.
7 coop > dam typos
7 is not equal to sven, just so you know. It's not a baby garg, it's something entirely different.
good to know :)
Momma garg :D All the family LOL
wow nice model good job
Thanks, Man...Freeman...Any criticism?
Good your back. If I was in HL1 animating Id totally help..
For a name, Id say maybe Big ******.
that would be nickname. Correct name: The Chaspi
Tyrkanocisus Speenaris, or just the "speeny" :D
I was thinking of calling it "Dentadurus". I'm assuming yours is Latin, but I don't actually KNOW any Latin, I just guess and use google. Go-Moders suggest Gargle.
How about little ****.
Oh bro, nice work :D
Seems like a nice boss, it could be fought in a large room where it'll try to leap and charge ya. And you can only hit it when it opens it's mouth to roar at you.
Probably, but I'd try make it seem less game-like-y.
oh its just a drunk garg
Make it a young Garg or mutated Garg, Dex
The normal one is Gargantua.
So...
How about Gigantis or Titan?
How big is it going to be? These names suit a pretty big one.
If it is small...
Zeetah or Muerteus? (pronounced more-tay-us)
Great names! I'll probably pick "Denta Durus" as a scientific name. Daft, from Go-Mod, suggested "Hysenthiac", which sounds awesome. "Titan" sounds great, too. So, I will either use a combination of both, or just the one.
Ammm ... good job ... but I see holes in the render , try to do "Force 2 Sided" ( F10 - in the box)
Good luck
There's holes because it's a WIP. I didn't connect the legs to the body yet.
BABY GARG!
Model looks quite cool, would like to see it finished,
