The Homeworld Remastered 2.3 Players Patch resolves many bugs, exploits, and balance issues from the 2.1 Patch. It includes the changes from Gearbox’s unfinished 2.205 Patch Preview, plus many additional improvements. It enhances singleplayer and multiplayer while respecting the look, sound, and feel of Relic's classics. Notably it fixes the 666 Formation Bug, the Cross Race Docking Bug, and is authored by the players who helped Gearbox balance Homeworld Remastered. It also features additional gameplay options including a campaign difficulty adjuster, UI/camera adjusters, dual command mode, observer mode, vast unit caps, and much more.

Gearbox's last patch was in 2016, so this is being released by the community for the players and fans. Credits: Gearbox, Cloaked, Fear, Trebic, NoOne, Echo, Stuart, QuadS, Kadeshi, and all the other contributors, testers, and players providing feedback. Just updated the download file to include shortcuts for the new GOG Galaxy installation path, rather than the old GalaxyClient installation path. To install, see the ReadMe Steamcommunity.com for the latest instructions.

When attempting to move the needed files to the HomewordRM mods folder, it worked. However, a problem occurred when I attempted to use the shortcuts: each time I used them, there would be a message saying that the specified path doesn't exist. How do I troubleshoot this?

Is it possible for me to use this mod without a client?

Also, does this mod fix the notorious broken formations and tactics?

Not sure what you mean by a client. Formations and tactics were significantly improved in the 2.0 Patch, and they have been further refined in the Players Patch.

Can this mod return the AI in HWrm to the condition it was in for HW1c? I'm also interested to know if the mod can entirely disable the auto-adjustment of the enemy fleet and return it to the fleet size of HW1c, with the exception of the levels that did not demand this?

You can disable the enemy fleet scaling by setting the Mission Difficulty scale to 0. Alternatively use about 0.6 to be closer to hw1 classic (the original did have some scaling). More details are in the ReadMe: Steamcommunity.com
