HellStrike is a mod that converts CS 1.6 into a tactical shooter with a theme on realism. The goal of the project is to see how far we can take CS 1.6 while keeping it optimized and playable, as well as fun to play.

Features (All already implemented):

  • Fully functional weapon attachments
  • 4 different player classes, each with their own perks, ability, and special item
  • New weapon and character models and animations
  • Battlefield sounds like player reactions, bullet whizzes, distant sounds and more to add to the immersion
  • New movement abilities like sprinting, aiming, prone, leaning, sliding, kicking, and wall jumping.
  • 16x times the detail
  • Blast processing
  • 3 years in the making (6 months actual development; 2.5 years procrastinating)

January-2021 Update

  • 4 player classes (rifleman, raider, marksman, support) with unique perks and abilities
  • Weapon attachment system (reflex, scope, LAM, supressor) and ammo types
  • Helmet, armor, & nightvision are now visible on player models and disappear when destroyed or not in use
  • New weapon and player models with additional animations
  • Custom maps
  • Custom menus, sprites and sounds

HellStrike is planned to be released in spring of 2021. We're already at the bottom of our list of tasks and need more time to polish the mod. Until then best of luck, everyone!

It's August and Im curious, how is the progress about the delay going? Will the release be coming soon this month or next month?

We're still developing it but progress is pretty slow these days. Some of us are having real problems. Me personally am having a surge of new responsibilities now that the vaccines are being administered and things slowly going back to normal.

We have fixed a couple of nasty multiplayer bugs that crash or kick you out of the game. As for release, I don't want to set anymore dates as we've bypassed our deadlines twice already so I don't wanna make empty promises anymore. All I can say is it's almost finished, we just need little more time to sort things out...

All I can promise is it will be released, one way or another. Either we finish it or if I feel we as a team have lost interest in it, then I'll release it immediately. No point having it rot in my HD.

So far the team still has a good amount of interest so we're still taking our time to polish more stuff and improve stability...

This mod is basically: Insurgency like Mod with Tarkov like Graphics (Maybe?)
but this is more tactical and cooler in the form of Gold Source Engine in CS 1.6

Hehe! Not sure about the graphics but if you think it's like Tarkov, that's really a great compliment, thanks. But what you basically said is correct, more or less. It's a slowed down, tactical version of CS 1.6, with some features sprinkled here and there. To counteract this from being boring we added a couple of respawn systems so you wouldn't have to wait a round to end to play again. Of course this can be turned off and it will go back to default CS respawn...

its been a year, is there a planned date of release? just asking, rushing the making of the mod is a bad idea, the results will be bad, so just take your time guys, one of the coolest mod Ive seen so far, have a great day

Thanks for asking! It's supposed to be released before spring ends. But honestly we're just going through our list one by one. There's only very few items left that needs to be added/changed. Then we'll go thru complete test phase to check stability and polish things further. The mod can now run 30 bots over 20+ rounds with no problems and little fps drops but there's still the occasional crashes that we need to address.

We've stopped adding stuff to our list and are now laser focused on releasing. But it might still take a while to make sure we release something without regret... =)

Cool mate. Looking forward to the finished product, this will be the best. The tactical mod that Ive been wishing for is finally near its release.
