hello everyone, and welcome to the main development group of HALO:SOURCE, we are currently building halo/halo 2 from the ground up in valve's source engine,this mod will have improved physics, gameplay and story mode and more, expect a multiplayer demo of bloodgulch to be included as a bonus in half life 2:capture the flag. and a multiplayer alpha for testing soon.

its sad that i have ti say this but this project is...well...TEMPORARILY CANCELED, i wont give you a reason but all ill say is that we need more dev's. im sorry to bring it to you guys, sad that none of you are coders at all.we needed more devs, no one aplyed, technically the death of the project was caused by you and the community

It seems like all these recreation mods for other games get canceled, the only exception I Can think of is Black Mesa :\

we are no where year the testing stages yet, this project is temporarily on hold untill we have more dev's
what about Halo 3 style multiplayer with the great equipment system, halo 2's was far too CQC based... so much so that the 50cal sniper couldn't shoot all the way across Coagulation and the bullets from the battle rifle miraculously disappeared in mid air at what seemed like 50 metres, Halo 3's style would be a better candidate for a mod like this ;) remember the awesome distant gunfire effect on it? the way the sound of a 50cal round going past peoples heads actually made people run for cover just by the pure effect the loud sound of it going past made, and the equipment giving people a chance against a tank if there were no heavy weapons around, they could drop a bubble shield to protect them for a while as they strategize the best course of action to either find cover or charge on it, or drop an energy drainer on it hindering it's abilities heavily.
anyway you're the creator of the mod so it's all up to you but please take this into account, Halo 2 just felt unfinished as it was but Halo 3 brought things from the original and the second but also added its own stuff
there is a heap of models from Halo 3 on halomaps.org they might be better to use in this mod too cause they have higher quality and stick to the design of the originals, unlike Reach of course...
