Well, I just tried out Beta's version of the mod so far, and I'm quite impressed seeing this stuff in game so far.
He has quite a few models in game so far, the Destroyer, Halcyon [Built around the PoA at the moment] Longsword, Pelicans, Banshees [I don't know why those are in there though], and Phantoms, how ever I wasn't surprised to find the textures on all but the destroyer a bit bugged.
The destroyer is nearly fulled rigged weapon wise, with 26 archers and a nuke launcher, the MAC didn't seem to work how ever and the nukes seem to have been mixed up with the archers damage wise, but the massive swarm of missles mushrooming off the hull of a enemy ship is pleasing
Oh, and following a longsword squad around as they gracefully glide past the PoA brings back awsome memories of getting Halo for the first time, and watching the Autumn's last stand
Like I said, despite the very unfinished buggy appearance of it, with a little imagination it's looking perfect so far.
I'm sorry, but after what happened to Halogen, there's almost no way that this mod is going to survive for long.
what makes you think it won't? We understand the legalities of the situation and there si nearly nothing they can do to stop us.
I hope it does :( a Fleet Simulator for the Halo universe would be cool, the one for Empire At War looks like it has thrived off of waste disposal though :O Homeworld 2 gives a more realistic approach into a space tactical game which might give it an upper hand, and Battlestar Galactica has seemed to have done well in both which means if people know about this mod, it just might do some good :)

Yeah, Beta said he put them in for the sake of it cause he had a stock model..dw, it won't be in a release.
And Halogen is the only halo RTS i know of that's been told to close, and that was due to Halowars, there's many, many halo mods that have been around for alot longer than us, first offencive is an example, and none of them to my knowledge have been told to stop.
Just dont do what Halogem did, for crying out loud they made a box for the game, which implies they were going to market it, or make it a marketable option, which microsoft could have taken advantage of by themselves aka Halo Wars
Nah..we won't be making a box or anything to imply making gains of our own, most of us are getting our gains from experiance in the project which is worth more than financial gains to us
textures bugged or nonexsistant?

cause i gave one to velo to use... is that the one Star2Scream (aka velo)?
if so then its just a tiled texture.... its not UV mapped.. but if applied correctly should work for every ship (until im done the textures)... and are you using the normal map too? otherwise the procedural just looks crappy
Nope..i didn't give him that cause i forgot you sent it me, no idea what he uses but it's horribly stretched and distorted..and seems to be a mangle of black and yellow..so
oh. i think i used the texture of the bentusi or something XD
