Are they more optimized now? These ships always bring my frames down considerably, which is why I hardly ever use them. I would love to, but too many and my fps is dead.

I love you for that. I've always wanted to use them, but never really could. Grazie, amico mio. Thank you, my friend.

Description

During the onset of the Human-Covenant War, Reyes-McLees Shipyards and Sinoviet Heavy Industries competed in prototype build agreements for new destroyer designs, which spawned the Thanatos-class and Orthrus-class destroyer. While not as fast as the more angled and conservative designed Thanatos-class destroyer, the Orthrus-class' origins stem from a refit and overhauled Gorgon-class destroyer, which had been seen heavily during Insurrectionist engagements. The Orthrus sports Sinoviet's traditional long barrel MAC design seen on all of their ships in a dual barrel setup. While the body of the destroyer is heavily different, most of the internal components are very similar to the aging Gorgon and proficient Paris-class heavy frigates. Its large armor compliment makes it a heavy hitter that can stay in the game longer, as opposed to the more agile counterparts that make up the light capital roster.
