Our representation of Halo's iconic space combat in the Homeworld 2 engine, which puts the player in command of some of the most powerful weapons fielded by the UNSC and Covenant and to provide a balanced and competitive experience.
Apologies for the lack of a clean render, 3DS max 2010 apparently uses a different system so i'll have to re-learn how to do it.
Finished version of the strike frigate, WIP pictures can be found on my blog. Overly high poly right now, so i'll be working on cutting it down in the next few days.

this is NOT an insult! It kinda looks like a gun... with a scope... pointing left...
I think that's an intentional design - UNSC ships are described as being giant guns with a ship built around them, which leads to quite nice ship shapes imo.

Really nice! just wrong problem with it, no offense, alot of people get this wrong but the door things on the side of the frigate, people either think it 4 doors or 6 door openings on side but its actuely 5 doors on side.
There's 6 on the savannah and other halo reach frigates, which are the closest representation to the original frigate concept - Images2.wikia.nocookie.net
As this was modeled on the savannah, i'd say 6 is right.
However, one problem with it is i forgot to add the airlocks onto the bridge, which i'll do at some point.

Woww!!!! been a long time now since I last posted.. But seeing this.. Cant hardly wait for the beta release!! I LOVE this good-looking frigate.... But about the pop cap.. How much ships will a particular faction have at maximum?
We're not quite sure yet - We want you to have the option of massing huge fleets, say 150, but it'll all come down to what the game can handle resource wise, how balance plays out, etc.
We also want small-scale micromanagement to play a part, maby not when you have a whole pop-capped fleet, but tactics on a smaller scale (12ish ships) is something we want to push. To do that, we want to determine a way to encourage players to split their fleets up rather than clump them all together through the match.
well that makes sense.. a tactical plan right? a bit like CoH on a grand scale up in space.. separating ships into groups & attack in different directions, or like at different locations.. GREAT WORK with this mod!!

They've been modeled yes. Matt'll be adding them to the ingame version.
