Our representation of Halo's iconic space combat in the Homeworld 2 engine, which puts the player in command of some of the most powerful weapons fielded by the UNSC and Covenant and to provide a balanced and competitive experience.
Conceptualized, modelled AND textured by the great RingLeader.
This monster makes itself known on the battlefield, measuring in at almost 5 kilometers in diameter, this massive structure houses vast numbers of Covenant. Aswell as having the living/training facilities to house an entire invasion force, they are equiped with thousands of Covenant Automated Drones that can assemble a Covenant Ship in minutes. This is a very costly process though and one that should only be used if the Colony Ship is under direct attack.
wow really nice design and texture
Are we going to use this for an shipyard, or are we going to build a shipyard and it KRAKOOMs in? :D
Like when you build a shipyard in vanilla HW2 and it hyperspaces in.
it a um.....halo....but in a sphere lol
nice
This is the 'Shipyard'
It's the Covenant main HQ that builds all its ships.
Well thats, smart...
But why should it be used as a shipyard if it's ability to make ships should only be used if under direct attack? x]
The "Can build a ship in under a minute(Did you actually think about that before you wrote it OJ?)" bit is the bit that's only meant to be used under direct attack i think.
I did think about it.
There's kinda half a story behind the skirmish mode.
UNSC have discovered a one of these colonys (or more depending on how many people you have in the skirmish) and sent a mobile shipyard to take it out. The Shipyard arrives and attacks the Colony ship, Colony ship has to make ships to defend itself.
It's my way of making sense of the skirmish mode.
Welcome to the new HHF leadership =D
Also I said in minutes, not under a minute >.>
Well it kiiiinda makes more sense now :P
That gave me some ideas, could we build an extra shipyard like in vanilla HW2, you know, just for more production capacity?
But i still don't get why it looks like an shieldworld on the inside when covenant citys usually look like a purple futuristic city (just look at high charity for an example).
Errr
Because it isn't a final build =D
K now i'm happy =D
I think this still would work much better than a shipyard, the Unyielding Hierophant would work better as the mothership.
No offense :)
Even though it would have been the size of a map and had near invincible shields?
"But why should it be used as a shipyard if it's ability to make ships should only be used if under direct attack? x]"
but why? why would this build ships only when under direct attack?
It is supposed to build ships at any time, like the normal shipyard in HW2
OJ stated that, not skalman. He was just asking about it.
Why do people never read stuff >.>
