Marathon-class cruisers are the most formidable
vessal in the UNSC. Sporting at least three
Magnetic Accelerator Cannons, over 1000 Archer
Missiles, and three-four meters of Titanium A
armour plate. As well as a complement of Pelican
dropships, C709 Longsword starfighters, and a
detachment of Marines, and ODST troopers.
Dude you forgot the Point Defense guns cause these baby's support a lot of them

If this is supposed to be the same type of cruiser that the Pillar of Autumn is, the it is a "Halcyon" class cruiser. And no, this class of cruiser (Halcyon) does not have 3 MAC guns, they have a single cannon, but because of there super awesome cooling systems, they could fire 3 MAC rounds right after the other. And yes don't forget that these ships have a lot of point defense turrets.
It's not supposed to be a "Halcyon" class. The "Marathon" class is a completely different kind of cruiser - much bigger and much more powerful. And yes, it is a legitimate ship: they're mentioned in the books and show up in the cutscenes at the start of Halo 2.
The Marathon-class looks similar to the Pilliar of Autumn in every respect except teh Pillar is out of date
no...its a marathon, and only the PoA had that feature, and NO it wasn't cooling system, it used wasted electric discharge to help recharge the MAC coils to alow aobut 3 rounds fired per full charge before requiring a recharge
Actually the PoA used a light MAC round and a new reactor assembly to charge the MACs and fire a 200 tonne projectile opposed to a 600 ton one
Many different reasons and all probably correct but the simple fact is that the 3-round-MAC is purely a pillar of autumn feature. Other Halcyons have a little MAC gun and a row of archer pods.
Marathons have 3 MACs and massivelots of missiles.
But I don't care because this mod is looking awesome whatever you believe about Halo fluff.

marathon cruisers were the biggest capital ships of the unsc navy and they were mentioned in first book lol you have read them i hope because it looks like you haven't.

IT IS A MARATHON-CLASS, NOT A HALCYON-CLASS. THE HALCYONS LOOK MUCH MORE LIKE A RECTANGULAR PRISM THAN THE MARATHON AND ARE MUCH SMALLER. GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT PEOPLE. Nice model, by the way.
Though here is some proof that they don't have 3 MACs, only two: "Due to their size, durability and firepower (2 Magnetic Accelerator Cannons as well as dozens of oversized Archer missile pods), these massive vessels are commanded by UNSC Admirals and primarily serve as command/capital ships." -Halopedia, the Halo wiki.
There is a reason some of you may be getting this confused with the Halcyon class. In the first cutscene of Halo 2, the Pillar of Autumn was pictured as a Marathon class. The reason being is because in Halo 2 they had no model for the Halcyon class. The reason being there was no point in making a model for a ship with which only one would be seen, and that one ships would only be seen once. The Halcyon class was also smaller, being the smallest UNSC vessel to carry the title "Cruiser".
And Zatara7, I'm not even going to go into detail of how incredibly wrong you are. I am just going to say this one thing. You're an idiot.
