In a world where HD and UHD packs for a 1998 game no longer make the cut, sprouts a small seed of hope. Half-Life: R will replace all viewmodels with updated versions, based (conceptually) on the default SD- and HD-content, including sounds and animations on a new arm rig. Because I can. It'll be hella rad.

Isn't this just the default HD Hev arms?
Might not be that obvious from this angle and pose, but no, the hand geometry is entirely different: this one looks and deforms much better. It uses the exact same texture though (which might change in the future).
You plan on releasing these arms for other rigs?
How do you mean?
I mean like releasing the source files rather than having to decompile the models to get the arms. After all, as you know, it doesn't preserve the smoothing groups.

Nope, they're based on the Insurgency hands

I never liked Gearbox HEV hands, but it's just my personal opinion. Either way you did a great job with them, this is the best Gearbox HEV hands version i ever seen. Kudos c:
