A submod for Westeros: Total War designed to bring the look, the feel and the sounds of HBO's Game of Thrones to the world of Westeros. (Alas I have no affiliation with HBO) This submod is currently for version 0.53 of Westeros: Total War which is currently in Alpha stages but with a devoted mod team working hard to bring it to a full release. The submod is compatible with both the Standard (Vanilla) version of Westeros 0.53 and also the Enhanced version. These are the Golden Company Longbowmen. There are also the Golden Company Spearmen, Golden Company Swordsmen and the Golden Company Cavalry.
The units were first implemented and used in Peaman's Fire & Blood mod but is now in use in Game of Thrones: Enhanced as well. The models were created during the summer of 2019 by VltimaRatio who has created all the models of GoT Enhanced minus the Dragons and the Daenerys Stormborn model. He didn't create the elephant neither.
The Golden Company, i hope they reflect here how they are in the books. Really solid mercenary company with many strong exiled knights
They are based on the TV-show, but the idea behind the mod is the style of the show - and the lore of the books.
But I'm not the model creator so no knights, that's Vltima's job to make models. And he isn't active.
oh i was talking only about their skills and organization. In the show there's not much we saw of them. But their visuals are cool!
It's a shame they did cut the elephants - but at least they were mentioned.
true. But i was hoping for them to be part of Daenerys army. The only Targaryen living (Jon was still a secret) and kin to the Blackfyres. Being the Blackfyres supposedly extinct
It's weird that they could have the mammoths but not the elephants. They said real-life elephants are too troublesome to use in-front of a camera or something.
But they could have just used CGI like with the mammoths.
They just didn't care about the show anymore. D&D made sure to ruin the show to everybody . They wanted to direct the Star Wars trilogy and totally disrespected the fans, actors, and most importantly GRR Martin above all. Then they got fired, joke on them but by that time they already made a big mess
