Since the 2020 Retail launch the 2011 release was renamed to: G STRING - BETA and in the future the G STRING - ULTIMATE EDITION is coming. Also don't be confused about the "Developer: LunchHouse Software" part. This is the G String Beta you are looking for, the one made by Eyaura. The display was changed because LunchHouse helped me a lot in publishing the game and this will help us both in promoting our work. Which reminds me: they're making PUNT! Go check it out! While the space battles are not the main focus of the game by no means they are still a neat addition and definitely a vital part of the story.
Instead of long ago in a galaxy far away, or the hopeful post contact, warp drive enabled far future G String will focus strictly on the near future: Solar System. The Rebels are Mars, the Empire is Earth and the conflict between the two sets the Romantic action packed backdrop.
Venus is Bespin, for fun and girls. Saturn is weird with religious cults and so on. No aliens, no FTL travel but humanity is definitely spreading out. Earth orbit is polluted to shit as well. It's more grounded in reality this way while also very ripe for all sorts of adventures and mystery. The Solar System is big anyway, very big. Hundreds of asteroids, dozens of big moons and enough planets.
