Since the 2020 Retail launch the 2011 release was renamed to: G STRING - BETA and in the future the G STRING - ULTIMATE EDITION is coming. Also don't be confused about the "Developer: LunchHouse Software" part. This is the G String Beta you are looking for, the one made by Eyaura. The display was changed because LunchHouse helped me a lot in publishing the game and this will help us both in promoting our work. Which reminds me: they're making PUNT! Go check it out! Since there is no way to list this on MODDB like on Steam (Developer: Eyaura, Publisher: LunchHouse Software) this is the best solution. Thanks and have fun!

Description

Haha, found this image online, coincidentally I posted an image from the same map last update. No Evil pyramid back then. :))

I don't know if I mentioned it publicly or just to other devs but if there is interest at one point well after release I'd like to release a "dev-pack" which is free of course and contains different archives of G String all the way back to 2007.

The included different packs would be:

Early gmod architectural study maps (2007-2009).

Maybe a fixed up beta (2011).

Day One update (2013).

A 4 chapter archive (2016).

A 10 chapter archive (2018).

These are all completely playable (minus the gmod mappack) versions. There will be some text or I'll ask someone to narrate some intro to these maps where it is explained what's going on. Not sure it will be so in dept as what Valve does and I don't even know if i'll use the in-game entity used by them for this. But some explanation in some form will be included.

Again only if anyone is interested. But it's something I've been thinking of as I enjoyed the Beta content hl2 had and it helped me a lot to see how hl2 evolved over 6 years.
