The Golan series of orbital platforms are well renowned for being among the most powerful defense platforms in the galaxy. The Mandalorian Clans, New Republic and Imperial Remnant can build all 3 of the Golans above their planets. Each of the 3 platforms will have different loadouts and durability, with the first being the cheapest and weakest (Which by no means is weak, it's still one of the most powerful units in the game.) while the third is easily one of the most powerful buildable units, and can sometimes go toe to toe with SSD class vessels. For a very large price tag of course...
