Ethereal Breakdown began as a community modding event to celebrate 25 years of Doom 64 (1997-2022) for the official Doom 64 Remaster, Doom 64 EX, and Doom 64 EX+. Fight through 33 brand new levels with custom graphics and music from some of the biggest names in Doom 64 modding. You have walked thousands of miles through hell, slain thousands of retched hellspawn, and wiped out all of hell's influential leaders; all by the might of your own hand! However, in your pride, you were caught off guard. Your soul was torn apart as in the jaw of a lion. Your eyes bleed and reality around you fades. An entity is haunting hell; feeding upon any remnants of sanity. You search in the realms of your mind in your quest of repentance to find your soul and slay this beast. Seek the artifacts of mind, nous, and spirit in your fragmented memories or else become consumed by madness. Your commander always told you: the brain is the next battlefield...
