Description

A prominent symbol of the old Jedi Order, the Delta-7A Aethersprite Light Interceptor makes its triumphant return to the Republic roster!

[Featuring a full voice-over implementation of 70+ lines, including custom chatter!]

The Delta-7 was a reconnaissance craft and light interceptor developed for the Jedi Order shortly before the Clone Wars. Despite being highly advanced at the time of its fielding, it featured numerous shortcomings compared to modern interceptors- no on-board hyperdrive, paltry shields and a lack of standard missile ordnance. The D7A-LI emphasized speed and razor-sharp maneuverability at the cost of some survivability. This lack of survivability was not an issue for a user base composed of force sensitives capable of precision evasions.

But times have changed. The Delta-7 has had to change with them.

Starting after 15 BBY, variations of the Delta-7A containing modern loadouts began appearing in the ownership of enterprising pilots of the Outer Rim. Common variations now carry flares, higher capacity shields and on-board hyperdrives.

However, it’s not possible to field these relics in numbers without doing some legwork.

Republic:
1) 5 squadrons available at Tech 2
2) 5 squadrons available when Queen Apailana is orbiting a planet
3) 10 squadrons available at Coruscant

Ideally, this system will eventually be replaced by sporadic random events where Jedi exiles will appear through the ‘Ratline’ or after being rescued in mission events.

Rebellion:
1) 10 squadrons available at Coruscant
