This mod catapults Empire at War into 2077. It maintains the game's design philosophy, while adding new units, better graphics, and deeper gameplay.
New fighter speeds:
TIE fighter: 3.0 --> 3.5
TIE Scount: 3.0 --> 3.5
TIE Bomber: 2.25 --> 2.75
TIE Phantom: 3.0 --> 3.5
TIE Interceptor: 3.4 --> 4.0
TIE Hunter: 3.75 --> 4.4
TIE Defender: 4.5 --> 5.0
The TIE series was always described as faster than normal fighters, but stat wise they've always been as fast as ships like the x-wing. I've decided that was nonsense, and increased their speeds to match their descriptions.

Changes sound good. Fast, deadly and cheap. Rebels won't know what hit em' till it's too late.
I wonder if that speed increase will help them against the correllian gunship. It's always irked me how the corelian gunship made alot of the rebel arsenal kinda obsolete in the base game. It had laser cannons to kill fighters/bombers, it had missiles that pierced shields and did a lot of damage, it was cheap and it was as effective as Y-wings and B-wings. It was also not targetable by the deathstar and hypervelocity cannons.
In the mod those have Turbolasers, Laser Cannons, Concussion Missiles, AND Proton Torpedos. When used in wolf packs and using their speed boost ability for zoom and boom attack runs, they put in ALOT of work. They just cant take a hit so rely on their speed and size to get in and out before they die.
so ... like infiltrators with bigger guns in space? and will the empire have lancers? it always bugged me in certain games that the empire used a crapload of gunboats that basically shredded my fighters (makeing a rebel-ish victory impossible)
Can someone please help me! I can not find out how on earth you can find the NON-steam version of empire at war foc. I have the steam version, but from what i have heard the Map Editor only works on normal eaw and not on the steam version because of some patch (is that right?) any help will be appreciated so much, i have been looking online but can only find it on steam, thanks!
GOG also has it, and I've had no issues with the map editor on steam.
Good to know it works for someone. For me when i open it up i get like 5 error messages then it crashes after 10 min...
