This mod catapults Empire at War into 2077. It maintains the game's design philosophy, while adding new units, better graphics, and deeper gameplay.

Please excuse the ignorance, but is this update live and if so where do I get it? Do you have a github link I've overlooked or is there a download page somewhere?
Like every other mod, I release the mod whenever I think it's ready for public release, which hasn't been since the lite release. Patrons used to get the dev build, but this month is the last time that happens. After that it'll be a discord release every few months, and when it's all ready for a full, bug-free public release, it'll be released on moddb.
In the meantime, I run a pretty active discord community where I update every day with new content, or changes like these. We also do major community build streams where I stream the modelling of a unit, patrons vote on what units gets built. For february it'll be the Secutor. Visit the patreon page for more info on those.
Moddb sees the largest and chiefest of these updates, and when a major overhaul is finished, I post the info here. Also the best screenshots of the screenshot channel on discord I upload here as promotional content.
GOOD. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
Sooo... why would you build the standard mining astroid instead of the pirate one? I mean, if you don't make the pirate astroid MUCH more expensive, I can't see anyone going for the regular one at all.
I don't know man, 750 minerals instead of 5000 for the same amount of income seems like a sweet deal to me.
How much does the defended asteroid mine cost?
5000
Cheers
Wait how do I join the discord server?
Link in the description.
in the description box of this post there is a link to join the server. You need to have an account first of course.
Could you make an upgrade for the basic asteroid that would turn it into a defended one?
There's no reason to waste money on defended mines early on, instead of just buying ships to protect them.
But then as the pop cap starts to fill up, there's no reason why you should waste the ships on just protecting several mines instead of attacking the enemy.
It would suck if the only way to convert them is to wait until they are blown up.
