Soo if I take my soldiers bettwen shield and archers and turn shield back to them they still will be immunite to arrows, because shield gives leadership independencly from whrere arches stand ...

No, I mean :

(front)Shield(back) --- your troops --- enemy archers

In this situation leadership in theory should work couse they still stand behind the shield but it don't stand on way of arrows. So I hope that ET already deal with this problem.

Such a masterpiece! :D
Ok, i understand now your point, but i dont see any problem with this. Look, if you place your units and the Siege Shield as shown in your picture - you cant move them from their position. The Siege Shield cant move backwards so everytime you want to move with it, you have to turn around, walk a few steps and place it again like before. I dont think this will make any difference.

I don't really follow... Are the soldiers behind the shield immune to flanking by archers?
So even if archers pass the shield and shoot at soldiers from behind or flank them, those lucky guys will recieve no damage?
And gondor archers will also be immune to archers while retaining the ability to shoot?
And have you taught AI using the shield? Will you? Is it possible?

Oh, I see a problem, it doesn't make any sense, the soldiers are not behind the shield, they should not get cover from it, much less immunity. This ruins even the little verisimilitude the game still had.

Really nice, the only thing we need to be careful now it's the enemy catapult.

This doesn't make any sense, it provides complete immunity to arrows and the soldiers in that vid aren't even properly behind the shield. Why defend your castle then, if you have no chance of withstanding the siege? Just make the players go to the open field and terminate castle walls already.

It would works good if all damage dealing to units with immunity would be taken by shield - then you haven't to aim your defense to destroy shield.

I've all ways liked the Idea of those unites but I could not stand using them for me there so clunky to move with and that's more than likely because cause I probably suck at the games that have them but for me they are way to hard to use to be effective. I've all ways thought that if I could equip them to the front of a unite and suffer a movement penalty rather than deal with moving them one after the other so that they don't leave the protection of the siege shield it would be both more fun and easyer to use. that way the siege shields movement becomes the unites movement and gets slowed as the penalty and I can just send them strait to where I want knowing baring a flanking attack there good and I can focus on other things till they get where I need them

Description

Gondor has now besides the catapults and rams another siege weapon: The Siege Shield.
The Siege Shield is an economical siege unit which provides passive immunity against arrow and spear damage. This makes it possible to get close to the enemy fortress, without being stopped by arrow fire.
