Dynamic shadows were present in Penumbra series, removed in Amnesia due to graphics engine changes. The mod adds casting dynamic shadows from lantern. They are jagged but still better than nothing.

Penumbra to Amnesia shadow rendering regression
Installation:
Backup and replace the /Amnesia/models/hand_objects/lantern/handlantern.ent file.
For installation of v03 (the testing pack) please refer to applicable news section entry.
V03 to V04 change log:
- light direction changed - now even further to the right
The uploaded lantern parameters:
- spotlight FOV=96 deg
- no halo bilboard light
For testing how various FOVs impact shadows quality please use the V03 package which provides lots of readymade FOV variants.

go to Amnesia folder. Find folder models/hand_objects/lanter. Delete old .ent. paste new.

why would you need this now? you can just go to the game.cfg and change it to cast shadows true.
We need this for ALL light sources! Or most. It's surprising how much dynamic shadows improves atmosphere. A monster walks past a candle and you see his shadow... but not in Amnesia.
